Mack Speed was born and raised in The Valley, and he’s a racing legend in and around The Valley. He started racing go karts at age 3, and he’s raced just about everything with a motor since then. Speed was close to becoming a NASCAR driver, but he had an unfortunate hog hunting accident that left him blind in one eye. Valleyans know Mack is a great mechanic; he can fix anything with a motor. Mack had been wanting to get back involved with racing in some way, and he recently decided to build The Valley Motor Speedway on his property. He then formed the Strong River Valley Mower Racing League (SRVMRL), and he looks forward to hosting mower races twice monthly during racing season. He’ll also give commentary after each race. Mack is a great storyteller, so everyone will his enjoy his racing commentary. Mack is currently divorced, and he’s been married 5 times. He also has 3 sons- Jeff Gordon Speed, Richard Petty Speed, and Dale Earnhardt Speed.
